

Philippians
(Chapter 2 Verses 1-18)
Imitating Christ’s Humility
2:1 If you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any fellowship with Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion,
2:2 then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose.
2:3 Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves.
2:4 Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others.

Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honor one another above yourselves; Nobody should seek his own good, but the good of others.

Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others, For everyone looks out for his own interest, not those of Jesus Christ.
2:5 Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus:
2:6 Who, being in very naturea God,

2:7 but made himself nothing, taking the very natureb of a servant,

2:8 And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to death–
