At McNeil High School, 36 students applied for the Practicum in Health Science class. At publishing date, only two classes, totalling 24 students, are approved. That means that 12 students will miss out on the chance to continue their clinical Health Science experience.

The experience students get out in the field is invaluable, giving them both something that gives them real-world experience, in addition to representing their school in their community. This distinguishes them from the multiple other high school students by showing to the world that their experience is based in reality.

We find that concerning because every one of the students who applied had to go through 2-3 years in the Health Science Academy before even being considered for the Practicum in Health Science class. If they cannot enroll in a third class, then all of the work they dedicated to the clinical Health Science program will have been for little.

 In addition to this, 68 students are enrolling in Health Science, and if they don't have multiple classes waiting for them, then even more students will have to be cut, increasing the number of displaced students whose dedication will not be recognized.
