McDonald's: Stop Offering Happy Meal Boxes and offer bags.

The issue

Each day McDonald's sells on average 1 million Happy Meals. Each of these comes in a box, that weighs 30 grams. The box is quickly discarded and serves no purpose as all of the food inside is individually wrapped.  A McDonalds bag weighs 11grams.  That is 19 grams of difference per McHappy Meal.

The sheer amount of wastage could be stopped by abandoning one layer of packaging - the box. In store the Happy Meal could go on a tray, or takeaway in the normal takeaway bag.
I have created this petition to ask McDonald's to stop using the Happy Meal box as a simple, cost-effective way of saving waste and reducing their carbon footprint
