The goal is simple

          Mcdonald’s over the years has become increasingly more and more expensive while the product quality remains quite the same.  We’ve seen them increase prices on items across the menu multiple times, and all the while their “Dollar menu” gets smaller and smaller. One of the former beloved items on the Dollar menu was the cheap and tasty McDouble. Whether you were short on cash or had too much to drink this bad boy had your back. But like all good things it was bound to end.
          McDonald’s has seemingly completely eradicated the Dollar menu and replaced it with a pathetic Value menu. There are very few items available for $1, and the McDouble is certainly not one of them. So, why has this Corporate giant who makes nearly 2.7 million dollars per year ripped us of the cheap $1 McDouble? GREED, MONEY, MORE PROFIT.  We are given the same quality at almost double the price.  Why do we put up with this? We shouldn’t. 
         When you break down how much it cost McDonald’s to actually make a McDouble it really is quite ridiculous the price has increased so much. Let’s do a rough breakdown of cost:

• 2 meat patties @ $0.05
• Bun @ $0.07
• Cheese @ $0.10
• Onions @ $0.02
• Pickles @ $0.03 
• Ketchup @ $0.03
• Mustard @$0.01

Now, don’t quote me on these prices. Like I said this is a rough breakdown of cost based on how much these products cost in bulk. But, all together it costs them about $0.36 to make a McDouble. So paying a dollar seems pretty reasonable when you take into account the cost of labor. But instead they raised the price and continue to deliver the same quality. 

          My goal is simple. Make the McDouble $1 again. We don’t deserve the increase in cost and lack of a dollar menu. Not when we had it not so long ago. Please take a few moments of your time and sign this. Change the world.
