Help fix the stress of Hybrid Learning at Bloomington High School North

The Issue

Hello students and parents of Bloomington High School North. After recent events, the school district decided that we will be going back to phase yellow. Which means that we will be starting hybrid again. Students at North will be having repeating days instead of following their regular block schedule, this means that we would have a MAROON, MAROON, GOLD, GOLD schedule. This creates an overwhelming situation for students to get their work done on time because we don’t have a gap day. Normally we have a MAROON, GOLD, MAROON, GOLD schedule which makes it easier because we have more time to get assignments done and study for tests. With hybrid we do not have that. If anything, hybrid has made school at North overwhelming and stressful. We need to have more leeway on homework assignments. We can do that by assigning all homework on Mondays due the following Monday. Or have 3 days to get any homework assignment in.

This year has been extremely different for everyone. Some problems seem to be unclear to the administration as to the stresses that are being put on students, teachers, and their families. We are all trying to do our best to adjust to the constant changes in our schedules and we feel that adjustments could be beneficial to the well being of the student body.
