Nearly every day, I visit the McCarren Tennis Center in Williamsburg - because I am quite frankly addicted to tennis.

I witness firsthand the dedication and passion of the coaches who put up with all of us to give us amazing instruction and killer workouts.

Despite the remarkable commitment of these incredibly talented and good looking coaches, they are underpaid. And it's disheartening to see such talent undervalued, especially given the rising costs imposed on the players recently. 

As many of you know, the McCarren Tennis Center increased its fees, which means more money is coming into the facility. It's only fair that a portion of these additional funds be allocated to increase the wages of the hardworking coaches. They deserve recognition for their hard work and a salary that reflects their contribution to our terrible tennis skills. 

Competitive wages are essential to retain skilled coaches who are far more valuable to the customers than the courts themselves.  

Let's show these dedicated individuals that their time, energy, and passion are valued by supporting a fair raise that is aligned with the new fees.
