Hi, I am Lucas Parise, a Reid Middle School student. I have been taking MCAS for a little over 6 years and honestly, I don't think there is any point to it. MCAS does not show what students know and everything they can do. MCAS is a singular test that does not measure students accurately so I think this is not a good way to measure students graduating. Some students have trouble taking tests and do not do better whereas if you put them in a group they would be able to solve more problems and would excel in that rather than just taking a test online. We want people to sign this petition because we feel that it is a serious problem and we believe the only way to get rid of it is to talk to the people that this has impacted the most.
