The reason why I'm starting this petition is that people with TAR Syndrome should be recognized, that’s why I would like a special day set aside each year for those who have TAR Syndrome, sometimes we get looked at as the outcast by others because we have a birth defect and don’t look like other people, but I would like the world to know that we are people and we can make a difference in this world just like anybody else can. A lot of people like myself have TAR Syndrome which causes the person’s arms to be shorter than the average person. It is caused by the missing of the radius bone in the arm and there are different types of TAR Syndrome such as long-arm TAR and short-arm TAR, it can result in some people having missing fingers, being tired due to low platelet counts, it can also affect a person’s internal organs such as the kidneys and lungs. We want the world to know that we matter!
