Mayor Walsh - Stand with Eastie, protect our history from demolition!

The Issue

 

Linear Retail intends to demolish two historic 1870s brick townhomes in Maverick Square of East Boston. These beautiful buildings will be replaced by a two-story retail structure that has growing opposition from the community.

We are asking Mayor Walsh to take action by ensuring that the corresponding demolition permits are not approved. On November 20th, the demo delay granted by the Boston Landmarks Commission will end and these historic homes will be vulnerable to demolition.
