My family bought this land in September of 2013, a month later the Town of Bloomfield served us with documents stating they would give us $41,000 for the property and take it through Eminent Domain. We have a note on the property for $99,000. We bought the 7 acre parcel with a functioning Motocross track that has been used for the past 8 years, without disruption. Our family is a MX family, we used to travel to ride, but due to the economy, we cant afford to travel anymore. This was my fiances dream to have his own track for family and friends to enjoy, and for our kids to have in their future. The town is stating that they need the 7 acres of land for oil tank storage and a possible fuel station for the DPW, our neighbors at 30 Southwood Dr. There happens to be 387 acres surrounding both of our properties that is owned by the DOT. And the DPW owns 9.5 acres of land.. plenty of room for them to utilize for oil tank storage. Please support our family's dream of keeping this land, and not letting the Local government take it for no beneficial reason to the citizens of Bloomfield. I believe in the power of people, please support our family in the injustice and out right stealing of our dream land. Please, this could happen to anyone.
