PLEASE ONLY LA VERGNE RESIDENTS SIGN THIS PETITION!

We, the concerned citizens of La Vergne, TN request that the Mayor and Aldermen keep the zoning on the Waldron/Blair intersection as the existing R1.

No improvements have been made to Blair Road in over 40 years. It remains shoulder-less, twisty, and very dangerous. The short road improvements proposed for south Blair Road do not Begin to address the safety issues coming or going to Sam Ridley.  While we recognize that the City needs additional tax revenues and a diversified tax base, this area is not appropriate for non single family housing and commercial use.  The infrastructure simply cannot safely handle this additional traffic and the very localized road improvements do not adequately address these concerns.

The landowner should absolutely be allowed to develop this property within the current zoning guidelines. They are not entitled to a zoning change which will make our roads even more dangerous and reduce our property value.  This area is an absolutely beautiful part of La Vergne and can be developed appropriately within the current character. We the neighbors are not interested in multifamily, townhomes, duplexes or commercial business in this single family neighborhood. Single Family homes are allowed by current zoning and should be sufficient to create a significant return for the land owner and investors.
