We could have a beautiful waterfront park at Brookley where we could swim. The water is crystal clear when no recent rain and a sandy bottom. Relax on a blanket under palm trees and chill ! Watch children play and swim - maybe take a dip yourself ?  Relieve stress and enjoy our beautiful bay. No amusement park just plain old swimming and chillin. It is big enough for everybody : almost 1 mile if u include the area under conservation. What we need is sand - lots of it. Why not get it from the current dredging of Mobile Ship Channel ? Instead of the usual depositing the sand for Dauphin Island. The expanded park would kick start rehabilitation of surrounding neighborhoods which in turn would increase property values which would mean increased revenue for city and county from property taxes !  Who doesn't want to live close to a beautiful waterfront park ?  10 - to 15 minutes from almost anywhere in Mobile. We can have commercial development with accommodation for citizens - we should have it. Other places do it why not Mobile ? This is the only close location suitable and our last chance.

OR we could have a VIEWING PARK - No SWIMMING NO SAND ! Which would you rather have ?

Let the politicians know our quality of life is important : support diverting our dredge sand for Brookley now !

Where there is a will there are a thousand won'ts ! PLeeeeze share this petition !
