FILL EMPTY COVID_19 VACCINATION SPOTS IN TORONTO & ONTARIO

The Issue

The Roll Out of the Covid_19 Vaccination  is well underway and priority is given to High Risk Individuals.

First, we offered it to Long Term Care Residents and Workers, then people over 80, then 75, then 70 and now 65 years and older...

Here's the problem - each and every day, there are hundreds, if not thousands of unbooked vaccination spots in the city of Toronto & the province of Ontario.

This weekend ( April 2-4) - there are 12,000 available appointment spots  that are currently un-booked and likely to remain un-booked.

It is April and we are entering a third wave of the virus.

Toronto remains in the Grey Zone and parts of Ontario remain in various levels of continued restriction - at this point in time - THERE SHOULD NOT BE UN-BOOKED  VACCINATION SPOTS!

When Toronto and other parts of Ontario are  closing down schools, looking to extend the already pushed March break  - THERE SHOULD NOT BE UN-BOOKED VACCINATION SPOTS! !

When so many businesses  remain closed or are struggling to hang on- THERE SHOULD NOT BE UN-BOOKED  VACCINATION SPOTS!

When there are so many people who need to leave their homes daily to work with others , putting themselves continually at risk - THERE SHOULD NOT BE UN-BOOKED VACCINATION SPOTS!

Mayor Tory and Premier Ford, please continue to  allow those who are vulnerable to have priority access to book appointments

-  but please implement a daily stand-by system so that those who do not fit the current criteria can fill those unbooked spots.

If the goal is to get people vaccinated, then do not miss this opportunity.

Stop begging those who fit the criteria but do not want to get vaccinated to make appointments and start allowing those who are ready to roll up their sleeves to get vaccinated.
