While we enthusiastically support the building and expansion of museums, schools and other institutions in the City of Chicago, the resultant erosion of public open space is a troubling trend and a slippery slope given the potential loss of the health, recreation and quality of life benefits associated with parks and public open spaces.  Please find an alternative location for the Lucas Museum of Narrative Arts that does not violate the Lakefront Protection Ordinance and keep the lakefront "forever open, clear and free.”
