We, the residents and friends of Sausalito, petition the Sausalito City Council to withhold consent to the Golden Gate Bridge Highway and Transportation District for the proposed new Sausalito ferry terminal (pier, gangway, float, etc.) The existing Sausalito ferry terminal was just updated with ADA compliance 16 years ago in 1998. The District has neglected to maintain this landing and now the District wants to replace it with a new terminal almost DOUBLE  the size. The Bridge District has provided no justification for the proposed expansion of the Sausalito ferry terminal, which would unjustifiably more than double the amount of Bay Fill from 6,057 square feet to 13,000 square feet which is equal to about a quarter of an acre!!

Also, It looks like the District is planning to load and unload two ferries at the same time, doubling  (or more) the amount of tourists and their bikes on the  streets of our small village. 

 Finally, it is unconscionable that a project this industrial and of this scale should be proposed by the Bridge District with no consideration of what this will do to our village.
