Andrea Henson has been doing the hard work at the encampments for the people of Berkeley and assisting with the physical and mental health needs of the people living at WHERE DO WE GO, BERKELEY? encampment for many months. The City of Berkeley has a position open for a Homeless Coordinator for which Andrea is more than qualified. She submitted an application and received a letter recently telling her she was not to get a first round interview. If you believe that Andrea should be considered for this position which she has already been doing without a salary, please add your name to this petition. Andrea's dedication and hard work is exemplary.  She lived in a tent at the encampment to learn first hand what the folks there were experiencing, so that she could better serve them. But now she has to stop assisting the folks there because she must find employment and soon. We are asking that the City of Berkeley, Mayor Arreguin, the Berkeley City Council and the Hiring Committee correct this wrong and give Andrea Henson an interview. If not Andrea, then who?
