Halt the Changes to the Intersection at Christophers Crossing & Timber Grove Road

Halt the Changes to the Intersection at Christophers Crossing & Timber Grove Road
The Issue
We, the undersigned, are concerned citizens of the City of Frederick, MD who urge our leaders to immediately stop the proposed changes to the intersection at Timber Grove Road and Christopher’s Crossing. Specifically, we OPPOSE:
1. Removing the stop signs on Christopher’s Crossing at this intersection.
2. Increasing the speed limit on Christopher’s Crossing between Thomas Johnson Drive and Opossumtown Pike from 25 to 30 miles per hour.
3. Adding “No Left Turn” and/or “Right Turn Only” signs on Timber Grove Road at this intersection.
4. Adding a new painted island with 4 flex posts that obstructs the intersection.
We ask that this intersection’s crosswalks be improved to accommodate our school children and pedestrians in a safer manner than currently exists, that the 4-way stop remains in place, and that left turns from Timber Grove onto Christopher’s Crossing continue to be unrestricted.
