Thank you for your support in saving the Pepperwood deer.  I have been thrilled with the over 3100 signatures we have gotten in only a few short months.

The HOA board released their deer survey results at their monthly meeting in January.  David Wood, the new HOA president, surmised the results on our neighborhood website:

“The survey, to which nearly 400 of you responded - and we thank you for your input - indicated that while there are strong feelings about this issue, there is not what we would consider an overwhelming mandate for the Board to take any formal action.  While a slim majority, 51% agree that the number of deer is excessive, only 46% of you said the Board should be involved in finding a solution.  42% said the Board should not be involved, and the rest were unsure.  Only 24% of you said the Board should spend money on the issue.  As Trustees, we have felt that if the residents wanted us to spend time and resources on the deer issue, we would be willing to do so in a formal way.  However, if there was not a mandate, we would not take formal action.  Therefore, no formal action was taken.”

With that said, I am closing this petition.  Thank you all for signing.  I believe this petition helped raise awareness and contributed to our successful outcome.
