Every municipality surrounding Barrie has beaches that are for residents only. This included Oro beach, Innisfil’s beaches and others. The beaches are kept clean and maintained by tax dollars from our residents. 

Barrie is home to three beaches. This petition is asking for one of the smallest beaches, Johnson’s beach to become a resident only beach. 

Every weekend, residents battle to obtain a parking spot at the main beach and a spot on the beach. 
We aren’t asking for tourism to stop, we are asking for a beach that will not overrun tax paying residents from using it on busy hot weekends. 

Please support this petition and let’s ask the Major to protect the enjoyment of a beach for its residents!
