Close down traffic on Moody Street this year to allow Restaurants and Merchants to have Outside Dining and Retail!

By the quick work of the Town of Waltham in June of 2020, Moody Street restaurants and retailers were rescued from economic destruction by being allowed to have dining and retail tables outside.  Not only providing for safe social distancing in an outside environment, but by also creating a safe enjoyable outside esplanade type of experience.  This closure expired December 1, 2020 allowing traffic back on Moody.

Without exception, every restaurant on Moody Street polled said it was a resounding success, not only by their standards, but by their patrons as well.  Facebook post after Facebook post resounded in favor of another Moody Street closure in order for restaurants and retailers to once again have outside dining and outside retail in 2021

A closure of Moody in 2021 has been presented again to the Traffic Commission.  Please sign this petition in favor of closing traffic on Moody Street to help restaurants and retailers create a safe and amazing outdoor dining and retail experience in 2021! It would not only be helping your local retailers survive during this difficult time, but it would create a stronger community and drive much needed tax dollars directly to the city to replenish its funds strained by this unpredicted pandemic.  We hope to create a safe, fun, downtown Waltham in the year 2021...It starts with you, the public, showing support!  Thank you!
