W. W. White Rd and Elementary to David Robinson Rd and David Robinson Elementary School

While growing up on the east-side of San Antonio, many African Americans including myself frequently used, and are using W. W. White Rd and attended W. W. White elementary school. On many occasions I wondered where the name W. W. White came from, recently I decided to research the name. To my surprise W. W. White was a colonel for the 7th Georgia Infantry fighting with the confederates for slavery.

This is unacceptable for our east side residence of San Antonio. I ask that you please sign this petition to have the street and school name changed to something more appropriate. My suggestion is David Robinson Rd and David Robinson Elementary School.
