The residents of Painted Meadows subdivision, having seen an inordinate amount of car accidents stemming from a combination of speeding on FM 1764 and volume of cars at peak times, request a traffic light at the intersection of FM 1764 and Autry Rd which is the entrance to Painted Meadows Subdivision.

It is nearly impossible to get out of the subdivision at peak times given this combination of volume of cars and speeding, and with the continued development in the area, this potentially fatal situation is bound to get worse.

We request a traffic light at the intersection of FM 1764 and Autry Rd, the entrance to Painted Meadows subdivision before further accidents result in serious injury or death to our residents and visitors to the area. Such a traffic light will also help the area at large by slowing down traffic on FM 1764 that is heading toward I-45 past an already crowded retail entrance/exit.

TXDOT and the LMPD can easily provide car accident statistics for this intersection to support a light at the entrance of Painted Meadows from FM 1764.
