It has come to our attention that the Fairfax Sportsplex located in Springfield, VA will be closing in April 2022 or sooner. As a current member and local home owner, the Fairfax Sportsplex facility has been a cost effective way to exercise for me, my family and my community.  The Sportsplex allows us to engage with other community members in a positive way. Most importantly, it has created a safe place for my kids to play soccer indoors, in a controlled safe environment. Additionally, it’s way more cost effective compared to the new facility Saint James. Which many including myself cannot afford. My kids love to play soccer year-round so this petition is an effort to have our community get together and encourage our local government to provide an indoor facility or, even better, stop the closing of Fairfax Sportsplex in Springfield, VA. Please help us keep our community center open so we can continue to stay physically active and healthy.
