I want to get Bishop Grandin Boulevard changed to a different name. Right now it’s named for a man that was an early supporter of residential schools, he even wrote a letter to the Public Works Minister Hector-Louis Langevin explaining why they should be a thing. Bishop Vital-Justin Grandin wanted to make sure that the children would FORGET their customs, habits, and the language of their ancestors. 
Now I know we can’t erase what happened we can only moved forward and learn from the past. I feel though that changing Bishop Grandin Boulevard to a different name would help towards moving forward a little bit with reconciliation. 
Let’s get as many signatures as we can get to show Mayor Brian Bowman, City Council and anyone else in Winnipeg that we want a change!
