The Mayor's Office of Legal Counsel has officially filed a report stating that former Deputy Mayor John Falcicchio, the Director of the DMPED Office of Planning and Economic Development, engaged in sexual harassment towards a female employee. This revelation displays an alarming lack of judgment and a significant character flaw on Mr. Falcicchio's part. These actions deeply affect Mr. Falcicchio's credibility, and we implore the council and all oversight agencies in Washington, D.C. to thoroughly review the 2nd Request for Proposal (RFP) for the Reeves Center, which was marred by serious flaws in its issuance. As Friends of the Frank Reeves Center, we firmly request that the District of Columbia City Council refrain from approving any land disposition agreements for the Reeves Center redevelopment until a comprehensive investigation into this matter has been conducted. It is our firm belief that former Deputy Mayor John Falcicchio has exhibited repeated instances of poor judgment that could potentially lead to significant financial losses for the taxpayers of D.C. and therefore warrants further investigation.
