PS 135 Sheldon A Brookner elementary school in Brooklyn NY has become one of the absolute worst schools in NYC. Principal McRae allows her Vice Principal to verbally harass parents , allows paraprofessionals to spank children in their care without investigation, does NOT investigate child abuse reports and is very biased in only hiring those she has a personal connection to. Vice Principal Abrams has instigated multiple altercations with Parents and then works with Principal McRae to retaliate on the parents and ignore any reports made against her. Bullying is completely rampant in this school and kids are even mentioning suicide to escape the horrors of PS 135. Parents are fed up with their neglect and abuse and we need actions to be taken before it escalates or worse costs a child their life. The nepotism and environment of violence is astounding in this school and there needs to be changes made. We the parents have discussed this matter and feel Administrators Principal Trevlyn McRae and Vice Principal Abrams need to be removed and replaced with people who actually care about their students and parents in the community.
