HARLEM FIRST SKATE SHOP FOR MENTAL HEALTH by: The Alonzia Foundation

HARLEM FIRST SKATE SHOP FOR MENTAL HEALTH by: The Alonzia Foundation
The Issue
Help support The Alonzia Foundation, representing a {Good, Wise & Strong} mentally healthy state of mind through skateboarding. The Alonzia Foundation is in motion of seeking funding for its non-profit organization to provide Harlem with a skate shop called “Viva La Skate” for our community of Harlem. Which means LIVE TO SKATE. Providing Harlem with a privilege we have never had, that introduces us to a new sport and a new mental health fitness plan.
While in motion of developing a charity event for the platform of Harlem first skate shop, the idea of the Alonzia foundation has dedicated its entire platform to supporting our mental health and well being. The foundation will be connecting our community and needed skateboarders to our only skate shop (@Vivalaskate) were we live our motto of Rent, Recycle and Recreational activities, such STF (Skate Therapy Fitness) and Art Therapy classes that supports our Mental Health for the benefit of our Mind, Body, Soul much more.
The Alonzia Foundation needs funding for we wish to provide these programs and services as such for new mental healing and well-being for the benefit of a better peace of mind and life to live:
* Skateboarding Art Therapy Class
* STF (recreational skate therapy fitness skateboarding lessons group)
* Free food & fitness (PANTRY)
* Free Hair Cuts/Socks/Maxi-pads/Toiletries (TEMPORARY SHELTER)
* SB YOGA (skateboarding yoga class)
* CPR (CERTIFICATION)
* Mental Health Awareness (CERTIFICATION)
* SKATEBOARD Deck Sip & PAINT (21+) (Adult Art Therapy Class)
* MENTAL HEALTH & FITNESS BOOK CLUB
Alonzia Foundation and other skateboarding community supporters are pushing to fill a community gap and make a community dream come true. By building up Harlem with its First Skate Shop providing skateboarding products, services and resources. Giving the community of Harlem a pathway to a new discovery of wellness and well-being for our Mental Health through skateboarding.
Here @Vivalaskate we go around the city and collect skateboards, refurbish them, rent them out, and give recreational lessons and activities along with a specific focus among African American Women and children in need of mental health support and fitness, forwarding them and others to resources that help with abusive relationships, overcome the disease of toxic relationships, dodging suicide and drugs, programs food and fitness programs/opportunities as much as possible here in NYC. Have no fear for Viva is here. We Also help clean up skate parks around NYC and forward referral shelter placement for homeless skateboards, which are about 86% of homeless teens here in NYC whom need Mental Health Awareness Support.
THE PROBLEM: No Skate Shop and no mental health support through sports in Harlem
How to FIX? We must sign the petition and we must all come together to fund a privilege/pathway for Harlem that we have never had and is yet to come.
Viva La Skate is for Harlem, helping to support our Mind Body and Soul; dedicated and directed towards our mental health awareness through Skateboarding.
In our dominate African American community (HARLEM), we here are overweight from not being exposed to more supernatural activities and that is because we have not provided our self's with other sports options beside our local school sports like basketball and baseball in the minority areas within the dominated African American communities such as Harlem.
Why haven't anyone given us this privilege of access to a supernatural sport that can change lives, physically, mentally and emotionally. Viva La Skate Shop is here to fill in what we are missing. If we want change in our people and community, we need to come together, support each other and tell the City of New York as one voice and say WE NEED A SKATE SHOP!!! A SKATE SHOP THAT SUPPORTS OUR MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS.
PLEASE SIGN & COMMENT.
