ATTENTION Vicksburg residents:

There is a deliberate delay in going forward with the new animal shelter. A few people who have the power to drag their feet, are doing it. We need to let the Mayor and Board of Aldermen know this is not acceptable.They promised a shelter would be built and we expect them to keep their promise. The residents of Vicksburg are holding them accountable.

We need to get as many signatures on this petition as possible to show the Mayor and Alderman that the residents of Vicksburg demand they keep their word and build a shelter to help get as many stray, neglected, and abused animals off the streets as possible. The current shelter is entirely too small and it is also in terrible shape and inhumane for both humans and animals. They promised to get it built and they are stalling.

This petition will be emailed to the Mayor and Alderman on Sept. 30th, the day before the planned Oct. 1st rally.

Please sign this petition, call, and email them to let them know we want our new shelter and we are not going away. We need to get this done before the elections so they can't use it as yet another excuse to delay. Technically, they can delay it another 6 months after the elections.

We can all make a difference but we all need to join together to do so!
