Black American’s might quite possibly be the only ethnic group in the “world” without a flag that speaks to our heritage/lineage and unique identity. Linage matters. Identity matters. Having a flag represents the background from which one comes. Just like all other groups, Black American children deserve the right to have a flag that gives them a sense of pride and belonging. We deserve this! We need this!

This flag represents strength, power and unity. The colors of the flag are symbolic as well; Red symbolizes Passion & Emotion, Black symbolizes Power & Prestige. Gold represents illumination, prosperity and courage; terms that personify what Black American women have meant to the community since the beginning. This being the reason the flag honors her with an elegant outline of her profile, as her love, support, strength and consistency has never wavered.
