As many of you know, my husband Joey and I have been in a lengthy battle with some homophobic management at Allegiant for about two years now, after losing our jobs due to our perceived HIV status and the fact that we are a same sex couple. Within the last few days, we have been informed of the homophobic behavior continuing. There are still currently pilots at Allegiant Air that are referring to flight attendants as 'fags', 'hags’, and 'trannies'. I am attaching the messages (in this petition) that I received as evidence. This has all been reported to Allegiant management many times, yet they are refusing to address the issue and put an end to the rampant discrimination that happened to my husband and I there and is continuing to happen. During my employment as a flight attendant at Alleigant, there was a pilot there that stated in writing he "would take Johnny down and make him burn" as well as that "Johnny wont know what hit him when I'm finished." I've also received a death threat from a fellow coworker that was posted online. Given the current political climate in our country, please consider standing with us and helping us force Allegiant executives to confront this widespread problem and put an end to it once and for all.
