We request MAKAUT (Formerly  known as WBUT) to revise the CGPA to percentage conversion rule in our university. In most of the premier institutes(like IITs and NITs) of India, CGPA is multiplied with 10 to get percentage whereas in our university 0.75 is subtracted from CGPA and then it's multipled with 10 to calculate percentage. Due to this process , students of our university are facing problems during higher studies ( like CAT, GMAT and other competitive examinations) whereas students from other institutions are getting an edge. Please look into this matter and take the actions needed .
