Mattel SHOULD make a fashion doll of the Once-ler, one that is akin to their very own Ken. If Mattel vowed to make merchandise out of Despicable Me recently, why not they make collectors merch based on the Once-ler, a fan-favorite character from the 2012 film the Lorax?

The Once-ler is an enigmatic character created by Dr. Seuss for his book, the Lorax, in 1971, then overhauled as a pretty man for the Lorax film released in 2012. He is the original sexy-man of Tumblr, was really popular during the early 2010s and had a massive fan-base. REALLY. MASSIVE. FAN. BASE. So he must have his own doll. A doll akin to that of Ken. The Once-ler fashion doll should have three unique outfit sets: his work-clothes, his pyjamas, and his Greed-ler suit. Also include a removable fedora (for the waistcoat outfit) and top hat (for Greed-ler outfit). Interchangeable boots and clothing. Some more unique features for the Once-ler doll to-be-made by Mattel:

  • Rooted hair (like most Barbie dolls)
  • Face, body, and clothing, super-accurate to the original Once-ler character seen in the film
  • Super-fine details painted on the doll's face
  • Playsets based on Once-ler's cottage and his family's RV
  • Posable

We Once-lings would really love to have our own Once-ler doll. Think of it! You will soon be having your own Once-ler, right at your very own home! Think of the moo-lah Illumination Entertainment and Universal Studios will soon be making out of the doll! Keep in mind, this is a collectors set, NOT a set for children who do not know about the Once-ler and his fandom! Make. This. Happen. Now.

P.S.: Before this writing, I made a Once-ler paper doll. Please do care to look at it! For further information related to this petition, see my Tumblr post made before it here.
