Many of the main cast featuring our freakishly fashionable ghouls have been given really good partners, such as possibly one of the most popular of couples being Draculara and Clawd for their opposing personalities and takes on vegetarianism, or Lagoona and Gill, quite literally a match made in heaven (or in this case the sea). However Clawdeen has recently been depicted to be in a mutual crush with Raythe in the 3D movies such as: Welcome to Monster High aired in 2016 and Monster High: Electrified a year later in 2017. It’s already been hinted at twice in the two movies that they like each other. Although Clawdeen doesn’t particularly seek Raythe out as much as he does to her, it’s so clear that they have a very valuable connection to one another and their love cannot be ignored. 

The show has been very keen on opposites attracting, such as a werewolf with a vampire, fire and ice and a plethora of otherwise weird mixes, but never have we seen a ghost and a werewolf, which is so much more exiting than any couple we’ve ever seen on the show. Having these small crushes really keeps you invested in the story line so much more and keeps you wondering if they’ll ever get together, but to give the fans the satisfaction of such a great potential couple will reel in the views even more.

Clawdeen and Raythe’s relationship also makes for a good political statement when we draw back into the lack of mixed-raced couples being adequately represented in cartoons where as Monster High are no strangers to couples of all races and species, quite possibly making this doll franchise one of the best when it comes to breaking social norms and being completely unique. I understand that this petition is less on the serious side, but and many people in the community including myself have fallen in love with this ship. Let’s hope Mattel continues the Clawthe ship in future movies!
