The Thomas and Friends Wooden Railway is one of the most popular Wooden Railway systems ever produced. First making it's introduction in 1992, the Thomas Wooden Railway line produced premium quality wooden trains for kids of all ages, allowing kids to build their own Island of Sodor with various engines, cars, track, and destinations. 

  However, in 2016, Mattel, the toy maker who owns the Thomas brand, announced that the Thomas Wooden Railway would be replaced by the inferior “Thomas and Friends Wood” brand, replacing the classic Wooden Railway  completely by 2017. 

  Thomas Wood is inferior to it's predecessor in many ways. To begin with, the brand doesn't paint or carve the engines all the way, making them look unfinished. The track is also incompatible with the previous brand as well as other Wooden Railway systems, replacing the standard Wooden Railway track design with a new, “unique” track system. 

  Consumer ratings have generally been low for the new brand, with the average consumers and the hardcore Thomas fans agreeing that this brand is inferior to the classic Wooden Railway. We need to let Mattel know that this isn't what we want as fans and consumers and would rather have the classic Wooden Railway instead!!
