For years, many companies have portrayed nurses and female physicians in a less-than-serious manner.  This is a bit of an insult to our honored professions.  I am a Barbie collector, and I am sick of seeing Barbie Nurses and Physicians in short skirts and heels. I am sick of seeing female Physicians as Pediatricians, as if a female Physician cannot be a Cardiothoracic Surgeon.  

Mattel is a good company, and we think you just need a push in the right direction. Please allow our organization, Show Me Your Stethoscope to help you design a line of dolls portraying the medical profession.  Ken can be a Nurse or a Respiratory Therapist too! We want to help change children's minds about who can be a nurse , paramedic, or doctor!
