Weymouth & Portland Borough Council Please Let A Lot More Swimmers Use Greenhill Beach Chalets

"Maximise financial opportunity", "Best financial return" were the written words of Weymouth & Portland Council officers to us just last week.
Over 5 years ago the top tier of Greenhill chalets was closed because it was deemed unsafe. Now, oddly, it is deemed to be safe. Lost income £65k approx. Proposed 2016 investment £40k to re-open 12 huts for rent. Annual income approx £15.6k. If the £40k was spent on creating secure changing rooms/lockers for individual beach users and swimmers to leave valuables and clothes just 260 people paying only £5 per month would produce the same amount of income.
So, 260 or 12. If we got 300 the council would be making 15% more! If you would pay £60 per year, think the whole community should use this facility and that 260 beats 12 every time please...Sign Our Petition
P.s. the year round sea swimmers
have even offered to help do it up too!
