The Issue

So yes we're in a new lockdown and mum's were led to believe support groups would be allowed but now all my support groups such as sensory and swimming have been told they can't go ahead. How is it allowed that children can go to school but new mums and babies which are deemed as low risk to covid 19 can't attend support groups with other mums socially distanced.

As a new mum I have been on a mental roller-coaster starting with my 3rd trimester being in lockdown, giving birth without all the support I originally wanted and now my lovely little girl has arrived I can't even socialise with other mums and babies as there is not enough clarity on what is classed as a support group.

Please can the government clarify what is and isn't allowed not only does this affect mental health but also the support groups who take alot of time and energy to organise these to follow guidelines.

Also organisers rely on these groups for their jobs, it's all very well telling them to go online but with young babies it is difficult to sit through a zoom class as they don't get the same stimulation as what they would face to face.
