Maternal Cannabis Use is not Child Neglect

Maternal Cannabis Use is not Child Neglect
The Issue
Maternal cannabis use should be not deemed as child neglect. The journey of pregnancy is a biological, spiritual, mental, emotional, and physical 1 year process that requires a women to be and feel whole and confident.
Pregnancy is a life and death situation that for many may use cannabis to adjust and heal through anxiety, depression, relaxation, strength, preeclampsia, hyperemesis gravidarum, grief from possible miscarriages or abortion or ectopic pregnancy, hemorrhage and several other pregnancy related conditions. Pregnancy is more than 9 months. It’s actually a year from conception through birth and postpartum including lactation.
Help CannaCrawlers in telling local city & state leaders that the maternal mortality public health crisis should acknowledge that women should be added to their medical marijuana patient use registry to ensure moms and babies have an alternative medicine option in their health care. How a person chose to manage their health is a personal choice and should not be judged as a criminal.
If maternal cannabis patients are added to their medical marijuana patient registry and approved, child protective services and the department of family children services should not open hastily investigations on their family.
