Apart from this petition, Raintree Boulevard Association and several local residents took up strongly with Police Commissioner in this regard. 

An Update regarding the Mall of Asia and the order passed by Bengaluru Police:

Bengaluru Police issued an order on December 30, restricting public access to Phoenix Mall of Asia on Bellari Road in North Bengaluru from December 31 to January 15. The order comes a day before the New Year celebrations in the city.

The police have invoked sections 144(1) and 144(2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure to restrict public access to Phoenix Mall of Asia, Bellari Road, Byatarayanapura, Yelahanka, from 10 am on December 31 to 11:59 pm on January 15, 2024, "in order to prevent annoyance and disturbance to public tranquility and provide a safe environment for traffic and the public at large." said Bengaluru City Police Commissioner B Dayananda, in a order dated December 30

Police order cant be attached in this petition, but please go through the media reports for more clarity.

Mr, Dayananda, Bangalore Police Commissioner said they have also communicated with Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) along with a request to withdraw/cancel the partial Occupancy Certificate (OC) issued to the mall. "Further action in this regard is still awaited." he said.
