We, the undersigned, call upon Sheffield City Council and South Yorkshire authorities to condemn the massacre of Pakistani citizens who were peacefully and democratically demonstrating for their rights and the rule of law.

On 26th November, in Islamabad, direct bullets were fired indiscriminately from all directions at innocent protesters, leading to the tragic killing of hundreds of people.

We urge Sheffield City Council and South Yorkshire leaders to denounce these horrific, ruthless, and inhumane actions, which violate fundamental democratic principles.

Furthermore, we ask Sheffield City Council and South Yorkshire representatives to call upon all MPs in the region to demand that the Foreign Secretary, David Lammy MP, address this matter urgently with Pakistan’s UK Ambassador and the UN Secretary-General.

The Pakistani community across Sheffield and South Yorkshire has been profoundly affected by this devastating massacre of innocent people, and it is our collective responsibility to stand in solidarity against such atrocities.
