As a member of the LGTB+ community, it’s a massive problem for us to use the bathroom. We have no place that we feel safe going to the bathroom at school: most of the time it’s a choice between getting called a pervert or even getting beat up. Many people I know have to wait til they get home to go to the bathroom. As a person who does this, it’s very hard to concentrate on school work while having to go to the bathroom.

Even if it’s one bathroom or even two: I’m sure everyone that’s apart of the community would greatly appreciate it. For the Middle school, one bathroom in one or two wings that are close to another bathroom would be a good place to put them. For the High School, one bathroom on the second floor of each letter pod. All bathrooms would be clearly labeled and always open for use. 

I’m sure the community would be willing to negotiate where the bathrooms would go. That doesn’t mean we don’t want them to be accessible ( basically don’t put them in places where they aren’t easy to use).

But seriously, everyone who is a part of the community would greatly appreciate it. I know the schools is working on equality in the district, and this would be a great step to improving that. So please, if you know what’s best for the students please support us in making this happen.
