Why do we need to remove i-ready from the School system? We need to remove i-ready from the School system because it causes mental and physical trauma to students. There have been countless nights I have spent crying or feeling anxious because of i-ready Math and Reading. And when I have to take the diagnostic test I break out in hives, my whole body gets itchy from stress.

    Some of my classmates speak about how much they hate i-ready and how bad it makes them feel. They bring these feelings to the teachers and they do nothing. This is not something that should be overlooked.

  Here is a quote from one of those students, Gaius,                                                                                                                                        "Its a waste of time because you don't learn anything new from it and it takes four 4 times as long a week compared to normal paper homework for less of an education payoff"

     Something Liv W has to add,                                                                                                                                       "I hate it with a growing passion"

   These students below all agree and have spoken to their teachers about this, the teachers ignored us. Brice W, Shawn W, Annie, Gaius, Liv w, Billy b, Mady, and many more. 

    In conclusion i-Ready needs to go. It only causes pain and doesn't help you learn as much as regular homework. Not to mention the homework is usually never in line with the topic of what your learning in class. Also the test you have to take three times a year to judge you on how fast your brain works is not okay. All forms of modernized tests are like that and they need to change starting with i-ready.
