The virtual blended school in FCPS is about 1200 kids for the entire county. Virtual school should be accessible to more people during high transmission rates for those who need it. FCPS should also mandate weekly testing for every student and staff to help prevent spread, and distribute appropriate KN95 masks, for those who need it.  And lessen the burden during high transmission times like lunch.

The honor system of asking parents to do their part is not enough as it has proven that Frederick County is failing at protecting each other’s as friends and neighbors, we must do better, we can do better. There are people who are high risk and need to be protected, we can do our part to help one another, help mitigate the spread, make our schools safer for all to learn and lessen the burden on our hospital system. But we can only do this together. 
FCPS- open up virtual for those who need it. Mandate weekly testing, provide appropriate masks KN95 mask, and lunch time needs a better solution, for all.
