As we emerge from lockdown, millions of Canadians won’t have jobs to go back to. Many will not see their incomes recover to what they were before. Without Universal Basic Income 4 in 10 recent layoffs could be permanent, and it could take more than a decade to recover. The Canadian Emergency Response Benefit Fund (CERB), and it’s replacement the Canada Recovery benefit fund, are only short-term fixes for our economy. With recovery UBI implementation, Canadians will be able to find a fairer, and faster economy.

We need Recovery UBI: a permanent $500/month universal dividend for all Canadian adults as part of a $2,000/month guaranteed minimum income.
