The Digital Divide is the separation between people who have access to technology and the people who don't. Technology creates so many opportunities, and I feel that everyone should be able to experience these opportunities. The goal of this petition is to create a government assistance program that will provide internet access and computers to low-income families. This way everyone will have the chance to experience these opportunities. Everyone deserves a chance at a brighter future, and I want to help provide that. I have been in this situation where I didn't have access to a computer to do my homework, or to work on projects, and it's not a good feeling at all. I know what it feels like to have an opportunity knock on your door and something as simple as internet access and a computer prevent you from taking that opportunity. All I ask is that you help me create less situations like the one I just described. No one should be denied a fair shot at life when there is a solution that can be created to solve the problem that is being faced.
