The Marvel Cinematic Universe is a continuity that consists of films and TV shows that are have ties to each other. Over the last year the ties have grown weaker as production schedules have created conflict in crossing over characters/stories logistically, the separation Marvel Studios being owned by Disney Studios and Marvel Television being owned by Marvel Entertainment making logistics even more difficult, and creative teams attempted to keep show and films being overly reliant on Easter eggs and references. The Russo Brothers have stated that Avengers: Infinity War is a culmination of everything in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but it seems that it is only a culmination of the films. If it is truly a culmination of MCU, this should involve the TV characters, characters that have had years of development and have stake of the events of the film. Just as much we want to see characters from Avengers and Guardians of the Galaxy to protect the universe, we should see heroes such as Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., the Inhumans, Cloak and Dagger, and the Defenders also fighting to protect humanity as the Earth will be invaded. The MCU has great potential to be a well integrated universe in which films and television show are affecting each, and the creative team at Marvel should take the step to better unite the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
