It is official : a Hawkeye series has been announced by Marvel Studios to be launched on the Disney+ streaming platform during Fall 2021. Jeremy Renner will return as the main character and Kate Bishop, the famous iconic member of the Young Avengers will be introduced in the MCU as Barton's protegee. 

The actress who will play Kate Bishop has not been cast yet, and fans want things done right. Many people are already deceived, just because of the way mcu!clint has been made compared to comic!clint... 

Kate Bishop is a strong inspiring teenager, a lot of marvel fans look up and relate to her. Obviously, her story arc deserves to be properly and faithfully developed according to the comics.

Despite Kate's ethnicity not being clarified(?) in the comics, a lot of fans picture her as being an asian or part-asian woman due to the drawing style which is used to create her (her facial traits) but also the character in itself. Many fans are already down with the idea of her being played by an east-asian-(american) actress in the mcu (series or movie).

The main argument of this petition is the opportunity for east-asians fans (mainly young girls) to finally get a strong female superhero which is not only a sidekick or some asian stereotyped character but a main character to represent them in the MCU. If a Young Avengers movie or spin-off is confirmed, Kate will be a leader for the other members. 

ALSO, imagine the diverse team that will be the Young Avengers/ phase 5 of the MCU, THE REPRESENTATION. Surely, this will be a big step for Marvel compared to the og Avengers, and a motivation for young generations. 

Please, note that the goal of this petition is in no way to shove my opinion down ppl's throat but only to get Marvel to hear us and influence their decision for the casting of Kate Bishop by taking into consideration the public's hopes. In the end, I will respect whoever is cast as Kate.
