I want to bring PEACE to my family and JUSTICE to my sister. My sister Teresa Darlene Baggett went missing on July 3rd, 1976 on Saturday afternoon in Indiantown Florida. She had walked to the store for my mom to get zip lock bags and sewing needles for herself, she never returned home. She just turned 13 years old a few weeks before. Everyone was looking for her for days and nights, the whole town, that's just how our little town was. Then on July 7th her body was found just 7 miles out of town in a ditch in the orange groves 4 days later. The time Teresa went missing, we had a big Rodeo in town, people came from all over for this weekend event.
The Homicide team investigating this at the time, I and a lot of other people feel that not enough was done to  find out what happened to someone so special to our family. As time went by some of the evidence that was collected had went missing (how could that be). Many, many years later as we (my siblings and I) got older we went and talked to MCSO about this. Of course because the lack of evidence it was hard to get any real answers. The last time we spoke to MCSO they said they had a person of interest who is now in Canada, who they will not bring back nor go and question him about it. How can someone be so neglective when it comes to a small child such as my sister. Then one day the detective on the case at the time of her murder, gave my mother a necklace of hers and it was the exact necklace she had on the day she dissapeared, is that odd or what. Why would he have it? That is my question. I've heard so many stories about so many people that could have done this. If only we knew where they are now, we might get more answers.

My sister and our family deserve peace of mind and justice. She is the oldest girl out of four of us children. She still in our hearts and minds everyday, not a day goes by that we wonder what she could be like today. Teresa only had a short life, but we as family and friends are still here. Lets get the MCSO to reinvestigate to what could or did happen on that weekend. If there are any evidence left from the previous investigation with the technology we have today I'm sure someone could find something that may have been missed. There have been a lot of COLD CASES solved. Why not hers?
