Support for Nantwich pub landlord who has been given unfair notice to leave

The Issue

Pub landlord and all round decent guy Jordan has been served notice to leave the Oddfellows Arms pub in Nantwich by Marston's -without explanation- during his ongoing recovery from cancer surgery and while undergoing chemotherapy.

Please show your support by helping us to overturn this decision and bring fairness back.

Jordan has worked incredibly hard over the last three and a half years, and has turned this pub from a largely forgotten and very tired old boozer, into a vibrant and welcoming place for so many new customers, holding regular music nights and weekends, featuring exceptionally talented musicians, as well as hosting pop up kitchens providing truly amazing food on a weekly basis, in turn, providing much needed income for others who have struggled to keep their businesses afloat during the pandemic.

We believe that it’s people that make a pub what it is, and through his efforts, Jordan has created a place that represents what is best about local community and culture.

We passionately feel that it is vastly unfair of Marston’s to pull the rug from beneath him at this point, particularly considering that Jordan has had such a testing time dealing with his cancer diagnosis and treatment, and just when the pub is starting to get back on its feet after Covid.

We sincerely value all the tireless work Jordan has put in over the years to give the community a truly special place to be together and enjoy the best things life has to offer, great food, music, beer and company.

Therefore, we would very much appreciate your support by adding your name to this petition, in a bid to make Marston’s aware that places like the Oddfellows Arms play an absolutely vital role in society for so many people, now more than ever, and for them to consider just how much Jordan has achieved during his time at ‘The Oddies’, and treat him with the fairness he deserves.

Thank you.
