In America, the popular snack food M&M’s are gluten free. In Australia, they’re not (excluding the caramel M&M’s). In my opinion, this is an extremely confusing fallacy that can, and should, be solved. This petition is to support a movement to make all M&M’s (not including those with gluten containing add-ins such as pretzel and crispy M&M’s) gluten free, as clearly it can be done (shown in America, and for some reason the caramel M&M’s in Australia are gluten free).

So, why should we care? It’s just a snack item… Well, this lack of mainstream snacks being gluten free means that, a) There are significantly less options for those with coeliac disease or gluten intolerance, and b) if just one popular brand decides to make their products gluten free, it is likely that others will follow which is an overall benefit to everyone who can’t have gluten.

Even if this won’t impact you in any way, please consider signing this petition for people like me that will be impacted (and just really miss having mini M&M’s), and get Mars Inc. to make M&M’s gluten free.
